SIP’s (Sub Irrigated Planters)

Sub irrigation is the process of watering plants from below, instead of above.

The sub irrigated planter works when you pour water into the fill tube and it flows down into a chamber of pipes below the soil. The water then wicks up into the soil as needed.

The soil beds above contain our own organic mix and thousands of worms. They are fed weekly compost teas.

We use probiotic and regenerative farming methods to grow some of the best medical cannabis in Maine.

The one on the left is planted with Black Triangle (Triangle Kush x 88′ G13 Hash Plant). On the right is Lilly (Rena Madre (Queen Mother) x Congo)

Below are how to build instructions for both a 2 liter bottle sip and a 5 gallon bucket sip. These are simple to build and can be a fun family or science project.
